Custom Glass Gobos | Full-Color and One-Color, Made From Your Artwork
The projector is the hardware. The gobo is the thing people actually see.
A gobo is a small glass disc with your design cut or printed into it. Light passes through it and your logo, message, pattern or artwork lands on a wall, a floor or a building. We make them from your artwork, in ten sizes, in full color or one color, and we prepare the file for projection at no charge before anything is cut.
Turnaround is 5 to 7 days.
Which size do you need?
This is the one thing to get right. A gobo has to match the fixture it goes into — too small and it rattles and vignettes, too large and it simply will not seat. Pick your projector below and we will show you the size.
Which projector is it for?
Gobo size
37 mm
PowerPrince, FlexMount, ExtendArm, Walking Light, Solar, Dual Lens and the Water Ripple all take a 37 mm gobo at every wattage.
Gobo size
37 mm or 54 mm
It changes with the wattage: 37 mm up to 160W, 54 mm from 200W to 700W. Check the wattage on your unit before ordering.
Gobo size
54 mm
Every single-image high-wattage model uses a 54 mm gobo — including both 1500W units, the single-lens and the 4-Gobo.
Gobo size
37 mm
The indoor range, the Stealth Embedded and the Track Mounted all take 37 mm.
Gobo size
80–86 mm
Effect patterns such as swimming fish, falling petals and snowflakes are cut on a larger 80–86 mm slide. Ask us to confirm the exact size against your fixture before ordering.
Gobo size
30 mm
The 7W and 12W minis — Mini Beam, Track Lite and Embed Lite Mini — take a 30 mm gobo, not the 37 mm the rest of the range uses. A 37 mm will not fit.

Ask us
Send us your projector model, or a photo of the gobo currently in it, and we will identify the size. Getting this wrong is the one mistake that costs a reorder — we would rather check it for you.
If your projector did not come from us, send a photo of the gobo currently in it, or the model number, and we will identify the size for you. We would rather spend two minutes checking than have you reorder.
Full color or one color — the real difference
Both are cut into glass and both last the life of the projector. What separates them is how the design is rendered and what it costs.
- Full-color gobos reproduce your artwork as it actually is — gradients, photographs, multiple brand colors, fine shading. If your logo is anything other than a single flat color, this is the one you want, and it is what ships free with every Infinity projector.
- One-color gobos project a single color through clear glass, with the design formed by what is etched away. They are crisp, extremely bright — there is no dye absorbing light — and ideal for a simple wordmark, a safety symbol, an arrow or an outline. For a very long throw or a badly lit surface, a one-color gobo often reads better than a full-color one, simply because more light gets through.
The honest steer: choose full color for brand marks and anything with shading. Choose one color for simple shapes, for maximum brightness, and for high-wattage long-throw work where every lumen counts.
Send us whatever you have
You do not need print-ready artwork, and you do not need a designer.
- A logo file — any format, any size.
- A sign file from whoever made your signage.
- A photograph of your existing sign, taken on a phone. This is more common than you would think and it works.
- A sketch, if that is genuinely all there is.
Our team redraws and prepares it for projection at no charge, and sends you a proof before anything is cut. Projection is not printing — hairline strokes disappear, tight counters fill in, and detail that reads on a business card vanishes on a wall at forty feet. Preparing the artwork for the size it will actually be projected at is most of the job, and it is included.
Glass, because it has to last
Every gobo we make is glass. It does not fade, does not warp in front of a hot lamp, and does not wear out — the projector will reach the end of its service life first. A gobo bought today will still be projecting the same clean image in ten years.
Swapping one takes about two minutes with the projector powered down. That is the whole argument for projected signage: the message changes for the price of a small piece of glass, not the price of a new sign.
Your projector already comes with gobos
Every Infinity projector includes custom full-color gobos free — one for each slot it holds:
- Two with every single-lens projector.
- Four with a 4-gobo, six with a 6-gobo, eight with an 8-gobo.
This page is for everything after that — the seasonal set, the second location, the sponsor who came on board in March, the safety symbol somebody asked for. Order as many as you like, whenever you like.
What people order
- The logo, and then the logo again — a spare is the most common second order.
- Seasonal sets — four designs, changed quarterly, one fixture.
- Promotions and offers — a message that runs for two weeks and then comes out.
- Wayfinding and safety — arrows, keep-clear symbols, room names.
- Sponsor marks — new gobo when the contract turns, same fixture.
- Weddings and events — a monogram that exists for one evening and is kept afterwards.
Get creative

The best gobo orders are rarely another copy of the logo. A restaurant projecting its menu of the day onto the pavement. A hotel with a different pattern for each season, all from the same fixture above the entrance. A warehouse with a keep-clear symbol that no forklift can scuff away. A venue whose ceiling changes every month for the price of a piece of glass.
Ordering
Pick your size and whether you want full color or one color, send your artwork, and we will come back with a proof. 5 to 7 days from approval. If you are unsure about the size, the artwork, or which type suits your projection, ask us first — it costs nothing and it is the step that prevents a reorder.

Frequently asked questions
What is a gobo?
A small glass disc with your design cut or printed into it. Light passes through it and projects your logo, message or pattern onto a wall, floor or building. The projector is the hardware — the gobo is the part people actually see.
What size gobo do I need?
It depends on the projector. 37 mm covers most of the Infinity range. 54 mm is used by every single-image high-wattage model, including both 1500W units. Multi-gobo models change with wattage — 37 mm up to 160W, 54 mm from 200W to 700W. The 7W and 12W minis are the exception at 30 mm. Use the size chooser above, or send us your model and we will confirm it.
What is the difference between full color and one color?
A full-color gobo reproduces your artwork as it is — gradients, photographs, several brand colors. A one-color gobo projects a single color through clear glass and is noticeably brighter, because no dye is absorbing light. Full color for brand marks and shading; one color for simple shapes, maximum brightness and long-throw work.
Which one is brighter?
One color, and sometimes by a visible margin. If your projection is very long-throw, or the surface has a lot of light on it already, a simple one-color design can out-read a full-color one at the same wattage.
Do I need print-ready artwork?
No. Send a logo file, a sign file, or even a photo of your existing sign taken on a phone. Our team redraws and prepares it for projection at no charge and sends a proof before anything is cut.
Why does artwork need preparing at all?
Because projection is not printing. Hairline strokes disappear, tight counters fill in, and detail that reads on a business card is invisible on a wall at forty feet. Rebuilding the design for the size it will actually be projected at is most of the work — and it is included.
How long do gobos last?
Effectively forever. They are glass: they do not fade, warp in front of a hot lamp, or wear out. The projector will reach the end of its service life first.
How long does an order take?
5 to 7 days.
How many gobos come with my projector?
Two with every single-lens projector, and one per slot on the multi-gobo models — four, six or eight. All full color, all made from your artwork, all free.
How hard is it to change one?
About two minutes with the projector powered down. That is the entire argument for projected signage: the message changes for the price of a small piece of glass rather than the price of a new sign.
Can you match my exact brand colors?
Send the color references with your artwork and we will match them on a full-color gobo. On a one-color gobo you are choosing a single projected color, so tell us which one matters most.
Can I order a gobo for a projector I did not buy from you?
Yes. Send the model number, or a photo of the gobo currently in it, and we will identify the size. That check takes two minutes and prevents a reorder.
What's the projection revolution?
A sign costs what it costs, says one thing, and stays until somebody pays to replace it. A gobo is a piece of glass that changes the message in two minutes and lasts longer than the building's last refit. Join The Projection Revolution ∞
