This is the one thing to get right before you order, and it is decided by the track already in your ceiling, not by preference. The adapter has to match it.
Why it matters more for a projector than for a spotlight. A gobo projector usually wants a different schedule from the retail lighting around it — on after the display lights, off later, or running only while the window scheme is up. On 3-wire track you get that for nothing. On 2-wire track you do not: the projector follows whatever the rest of the run is doing.
They are not interchangeable. The adapters are physically different, and a 3-wire head in 2-wire track does not give you independent switching — there is no third circuit there to use. If you are not sure which you have, send us a photo of the track end or the adapter on an existing fixture and we will identify it. Track systems also vary by manufacturer, so tell us the brand if you know it.
If there is no track in the ceiling, this is the wrong product — look at the indoor bracket-mounted range instead.
Static holds the projection perfectly still — a logo on a feature wall, a brand mark on the floor, a room name, an offer. Spin turns it slowly for decorative patterns and seasonal artwork. Switched on the remote whenever you like.
Lens number × distance = image width. The standard 1:0.33 lens gives a 3.3 ft projection from 10 ft away — written the industry way, a 3.0:1 throw ratio.
Retail ceilings are lower than people plan for. At a typical 9–12 ft track height, the standard lens gives you roughly a 3–4 ft projection — right for a logo on a wall, often too small for a floor graphic people are meant to read on approach. Tell us the track height and the size you want and we will confirm the lens before you order.
Aim within about 30 degrees of perpendicular to the surface, or the projection stretches on one side and lettering leans.
Track makes this easier than any other mount, because you can simply slide the fixture until the angle is right instead of accepting wherever the bracket went. Move it along the run, re-aim, and check the wall — it takes a minute. Where the track is fixed in a position that forces the angle, keystone correction squares the projection back up.
Wattage answers the light already on the surface, not the size of the projection. Retail interiors are usually brightly lit, and that is what the choice turns on.
Shops are lit for merchandise, not for projection, so the answer is usually higher than expected. Run it through the Wattage Finder, or send us a photo of the space with the lights on.

Yes. Every unit is manufactured with a wide-voltage input of 110–240V AC, so it runs on standard US 120V mains straight out of the box — and on 220–240V anywhere else in the world without a converter. If you have seen figures like 24–36V or 165–265V on a spec sheet, those describe the driver's internal DC output, not the voltage at your wall.
2-wire (single circuit) carries live, neutral and earth — one switched circuit, so everything on the run switches together. 3-wire (three circuit) carries three separate live conductors, so each fixture can sit on one of three independently switched circuits. On 3-wire you can switch or dim the projector separately from the display lighting beside it; on 2-wire you cannot.
