A glass gobo is a small glass disc, coated and etched with your image, that a projector shines light through to cast that image onto a surface. Unlike a steel (metal) gobo, a glass gobo can hold full color and photographic detail — so multi-color logos, gradients, and rich artwork project accurately. It's the same idea as any gobo, just made from coated glass so it can carry color.

A steel gobo is a precision-cut metal stencil that projects a single color (whatever color the light is), which industry-wide is ideal for clean logos, text, and patterns. Infinity only fabricates gobos on glass, though — full-color or single-color — because true steel requires order minimums too high for custom one-off art. So a single-color pick from us is still cut on glass, not metal.

Handle it by the edges only — fingerprints on the image surface can show up in the projection. To clean, gently wipe the image side with a microfiber lens cloth (a little lens cleaner if needed); never use paper towels or harsh solvents. The glass itself doesn't wear out, so a careful wipe keeps the projection crisp for years.
