How Much Does a Laser Line Projector Cost? 2026 Price Guide

Infinity Laser Safety Line Projector, IP65-rated, 10W to 40W
Infinity's Laser Safety Line Projector runs $588.88–$688.88, IP65-rated — roughly a third of the closest comparable competitor unit.

Short answer: Infinity's laser safety line projector runs $588.88 (10W) to $688.88 (40W) — IP65-rated, with a 3mm line and up to a 30 ft maximum line length at the 1:3 lens ratio. The closest apples-to-apples competitor we could find — Cisco-Eagle's LED Line Projector, also rated 18–30 ft — sells for $1,874.45. That's roughly a third of the price for a comparable-range unit.

If you're pricing out a laser line projector for a warehouse aisle, loading dock or parking structure, you've probably run into a wide spread — some listings are under $700, others run past $2,000 for what looks like a similar box. Here's what actually explains the gap, and the real numbers from both sides.

What Infinity's laser line projector actually costs

The Laser Safety Line Projector comes in four wattages, and price scales with brightness, not with anything hidden:

WattagePriceBest for
10W$588.88Dim aisles, low-traffic areas
20W$618.88Typical indoor warehouse lighting
30W$648.88Brighter facilities, longer aisles
40W$688.88Bright/mixed-light zones, loading docks

Every wattage ships IP65-rated (rain, dust and washdown safe), with a 3mm (~0.118") line and your choice of red (default), green or blue — pick once at checkout, since the color can't be swapped after purchase. The LED engine is rated for 50,000 hours of use, so there's essentially no bulb-replacement cost over the life of the unit.

How that compares to the rest of the market

We priced this against the real competitor listings we could find with a genuinely comparable spec — not the cheapest or the most expensive option, the closest match:

ProjectorRangePrice
Infinity Laser Safety Line Projectorup to 30 ft (1:3 lens)$588.88–$688.88
Cisco-Eagle LED Line Projector (PJL-F-150)18–30 ft — closest real match$1,874.45
Cisco-Eagle Laser Line Projector (red/green)15–22 ft$2,181.18–$2,317.50

Against the Cisco-Eagle LED Line Projector — the one competitor unit with a range that genuinely lines up with Infinity's (18–30 ft vs. up to 30 ft) — Infinity's unit runs about a third of the price. We also found a 100 ft ComplianceSigns unit at $1,620; we're leaving that one out of the direct comparison on purpose — it's a longer-range class of projector, not the same job, so it isn't an apples-to-apples price comparison.

What drives the price up elsewhere

Brand markup and channel (industrial-safety distributors vs. direct) explain most of the gap — the underlying LED/laser optics for this kind of line projector aren't exotic technology.

What doesn't change the price here

Color choice (red/green/blue) and mounting hardware are included at every wattage — you're not paying more to pick green over red.

How far it actually reaches

Every laser line projector spec sheet lists a maximum line length — and it's worth reading that number honestly. Infinity's 30 ft maximum is the lab spec, measured at the 1:3 lens ratio under ideal conditions. What you'll actually get in a working facility depends heavily on ambient light:

Lighting conditionRecommended reach at 40W
Dark / dim areaup to 13 ft
Average indoor lightingup to 10 ft
Bright / daylight-adjacentup to 6 ft

In other words: the 30 ft figure is real, but it's the ceiling, not the everyday number for a bright loading dock. If your aisle is well-lit or near a bay door with daylight coming in, plan around the 6–10 ft range at 40W and mount accordingly — or step up to a higher-wattage safety projector if you need more reach in bright conditions. Our Projector Finder factors in your actual lighting and distance so you're not guessing.

Laser line vs. LED line projector — what's the real difference?

Laser line projectors

Project a true, coherent laser line — extremely crisp edges and long, focused reach at a given wattage. Infinity's unit is laser-based, which is how it holds a sharp 3mm line out to 30 ft. Laser units are typically more compact and efficient per foot of reach.

LED line projectors

Use an LED source through a line-generating lens. Generally a slightly softer/wider line at long distance than laser, and some models trade reach for a lower unit cost. Cisco-Eagle's LED Line Projector above is this type — and it's priced well above Infinity's laser unit despite a similar range.

Both hold up far better than paint or tape: a laser or LED line is immune to forklift tires, foot traffic, pallets and water — nothing to scuff, chip or wash away, unlike a painted floor line that needs repainting every few months in a busy aisle.

Getting the right one for your facility

Match wattage to your light

Don't default to the top wattage. A dim back-corner aisle is fine at 10–20W; a bright dock door needs 40W. Overbuying wattage is the most common way to overspend here.

Pick your lens ratio for the space

The 1:3 ratio gets you the longest line (up to 30 ft) but at lower brightness per foot; tighter ratios give a shorter, more concentrated line. Match it to your aisle length, not the biggest number on the spec sheet.

Combine with gobo signs where needed

Laser lines are built for boundary and lane marking. For an actual sign, symbol or message (CAUTION, STOP, a company logo), pair it with a gobo safety-sign projector — many facilities run both. See the full breakdown on our Warehouse Safety & Signage page.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a laser line projector cost?

Infinity's laser safety line projector runs $588.88 for the 10W model up to $688.88 for the 40W model, IP65-rated with a 3mm line. The closest comparable competitor unit (Cisco-Eagle's LED Line Projector, also rated 18–30 ft) sells for $1,874.45 — roughly three times the price.

What's the difference between a laser line projector and an LED line projector?

Both project a straight warning or boundary line, but a laser line projector uses a true laser source for a crisp, focused line at longer distances, while an LED line projector uses an LED through a line-generating lens, often with a slightly softer line at range. Infinity's unit is laser-based.

How far can a laser line projector really reach?

Infinity's unit has a 30 ft maximum line length at the 1:3 lens ratio, measured under ideal lab conditions. In a real facility, recommended reach at 40W is about 13 ft in dark areas, 10 ft in average indoor lighting, and 6 ft in bright or daylight-adjacent areas — plan around the lighting you actually have.

Is a laser line projector durable enough for a warehouse floor?

Yes — the line is projected light, not paint or tape, so forklift tires, foot traffic, pallets and water can't wear it away the way they wear down a painted floor line. Infinity's unit is IP65-rated for washdown and dusty environments, with a 50,000-hour LED lifespan.

What color laser lines are available?

Red is the default color, with green or blue available as an upgrade. The color is set at purchase and can't be changed afterward, so confirm which color fits your facility's existing safety-color scheme before ordering.
