The Best Portable Logo Projectors for Events: Our Top Picks by Venue and Budget
We work with a lot of clients who run special events, and many others who need a portable logo projector they can set up anywhere. One team brings its logo to private dinners, gallery openings and museum events in different cities. Others are corporate event planners who set up in a new hotel every month, or exhibitors who pack a projector in the booth crate for every trade show.
They all ask us the same question: which projector should I buy if it has to work everywhere? Here's the answer we give them, with real prices, distances and lenses.
Why event pros should buy for flexibility
A projector mounted at one storefront only has to work in one spot. A traveling projector has to handle a dim gallery on Friday and a bright convention hall on Tuesday. Two things change from venue to venue:
- How bright the room is. Room light washes out a projection. The brighter the room, the more wattage you need for the logo to pop.
- How far the projector sits from the wall or floor. The farther back it sits, the bigger the image and the more the light spreads out, so the logo looks dimmer.
That's why we steer event pros toward a little more wattage than a single-location customer would need. It's the difference between a logo that looks great in every venue and one that only works in some of them.

Every model above is outdoor-rated (IP65) and comes with a remote and 2 free full-color custom gobos.
Option 1: PowerPrince 120W, the go-to for indoor events
The PowerPrince 120W is $548.88 with free shipping. It's our pick for rooms with moderate lighting and short-to-mid distances, and the most affordable way to bring your logo to every event.
- Your logo on a gallery wall during a private opening.
- A logo on the floor at a hotel ballroom entrance, so guests walk right over it.
- A museum donor night, with the sponsor's logo on a feature wall.
- Corporate dinners, meeting and banquet rooms, lobbies and check-in areas.
- Weddings and parties: a monogram on the dance floor or behind the head table.
Left: a monogram in a banquet hall. Right: a company logo on the floor at a corporate entrance.
Option 2: LY-Pro, the easiest high-wattage projector to travel with
The LY-Pro comes in 135W ($948.88), 160W ($1,088.88) and 200W ($1,388.88). It tops out at 200W, but it's much more compact and lighter than other high-wattage projectors: about 7.5 lbs and roughly 10 × 7.5 × 7 inches. That makes it the one to pick if you fly to events or set up alone, and you need more punch than a 120W.
- Hotel ballrooms and banquet halls with the house lights up.
- Mid-size trade-show booths where you carry the projector in.
- Outdoor patios, entrances and pop-ups after dark.

Option 3: Titan 300W, for trade shows, big rooms and outdoors
The Titan 300W is $1,398.88. Choose it when the room is bright, the venue is big, or the projector has to sit far back.
- A trade-show booth under bright convention-hall lighting.
- A logo on a building or tent at an outdoor festival.
- A large venue where the projector sits far back, like a balcony or the back of a theater.
- Brand activations and pop-ups.
Left: a logo on the floor of a trade-show booth. Right: a logo on a building at night, where higher wattage pays off.
How far each projector reaches
These are the distances where a full-color logo still looks vivid, from our wattage chart. Use them as a guide, then tell us about your venues for an exact recommendation.
| Projector | Dark room | Normal light | Bright room |
|---|---|---|---|
| PowerPrince 120W | up to ~29 ft | up to ~26 ft | up to ~20 ft |
| LY-Pro 160W | up to ~33 ft | up to ~29 ft | up to ~23 ft |
| LY-Pro 200W / Titan 200W | up to ~50 ft | up to ~29 ft | up to ~26 ft |
| Titan 300W | up to ~65 ft | up to ~33 ft | up to ~29 ft |
| Titan 500W | up to ~100 ft | up to ~50 ft | up to ~33 ft |
| Titan 700W | up to ~165 ft | up to ~100 ft | up to ~50 ft |
When you need more than 300W
Sometimes 300W isn't enough: very long distances, very bright rooms, or outdoor events before full dark. The Titan goes up to 700W, and we offer even more powerful projectors. Tell us about your venues and we'll be straight with you about what it takes.
Logo size: it's the lens, not a dial
This is the part most people get wrong. A gobo projector doesn't zoom. Focus is adjustable; size is set by the lens. At a given distance, the lens decides how big your logo is, so the way to change the size is to change the lens.
The rule: logo width ≈ lens number × distance. The PowerPrince and LY-Pro ship with a 0.33 lens; the Titan ships with a 0.25 lens.
| Lens | At 10 ft | At 20 ft | At 30 ft | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0.25 | 2.5 ft | 5 ft | 7.5 ft | Long throws, logo on a building |
| 0.33 | 3.3 ft | 6.6 ft | 10 ft | Walls and floors in most rooms |
| 0.5 | 5 ft | 10 ft | 15 ft | Bigger logos when the projector sits close |
| 1.1 | 11 ft | 22 ft | 33 ft | Low ceilings, short throws, big floor logos |
A bigger image spreads the same light over more area, so a wide lens at a long distance needs more wattage.
Lens packages: control the size at every venue
That's why we recommend a lens package for anyone who travels. It's available on all three projectors:
- 3 Lens Package ($188.88): you pick three lenses, typically 0.33, 0.5 and 1.1.
- 5 Lens Package ($308.88): five lenses for teams that work in a wide range of rooms.
With a few lenses in the case, you can match the logo size to each venue instead of fighting where the projector can sit. Choose the package on the PowerPrince, LY-Pro or Titan page. For more on lenses and angles, read our projection angle and lens guide.
Tips for a smooth setup at every venue
- Scout the room first. A phone photo of the wall or floor, with the lights at event level, tells you most of what you need.
- Measure the throw. Know the distance from where the projector can sit to the surface, then pick the lens.
- Dim what you can. Turning down the lights near the projection makes any wattage look better.
- Bring a long cord. Event outlets are never where you want them. Longer power cords are an option on every product page.
- Test before the doors open. Focus on the real surface, at the real lighting level.

Frequently asked questions
What's the best portable logo projector for events?
For mostly indoor venues like galleries, museums, ballrooms and weddings, a 120W PowerPrince ($548.88). For the most power in the lightest case, the LY-Pro (135W–200W, from $948.88). For trade shows, large bright rooms and outdoor events, the Titan 300W ($1,398.88).
Is 120W bright enough for a trade show?
Often not. Convention halls are very bright, and a 120W logo can look washed out. We recommend the LY-Pro 200W or the Titan 300W for trade shows.
Which projector is easiest to travel with?
The LY-Pro. It weighs about 7.5 lbs and is roughly 10 × 7.5 × 7 inches, yet goes up to 200W.
Can I make the logo bigger or smaller?
You change the size by changing the lens. Focus is adjustable, but at a given distance the lens sets the size. Logo width is about the lens number times the distance, so a 0.33 lens at 10 ft makes a logo about 3.3 ft wide.
Which lenses should a traveling event team carry?
Our 3 Lens Package ($188.88) lets you pick three, typically 0.33, 0.5 and 1.1. Teams that work in a very wide range of rooms often choose the 5 Lens Package ($308.88).
Can these projectors be used outdoors?
Yes. The PowerPrince, LY-Pro and Titan are all outdoor-rated (IP65). Outdoors, more wattage helps, so we usually recommend 200W–300W or more for outdoor events.
What if I need more than 300W?
The Titan goes up to 700W, and we offer more powerful options for very long distances or very bright settings. Send us your venue details and we'll recommend the right one.
Not sure which one fits your events?
Send us photos of your venues, the distance to the wall or floor, and how bright the rooms are. We'll recommend the right wattage and lenses, so your logo looks great everywhere you set up.
