Keystone Correction

Mounting at an angle? We'll keep it perfectly straight.

When a projector is aimed at a surface from a steep angle — like above a doorway or awning — the logo stretches into a lopsided trapezoid. Keystone correction pre-shapes your gobo so it lands as a clean, undistorted image, even at a sharp angle. Here's exactly how it works and what we need from you.

Straight on → clean
Aimed straight on, your logo is a clean circle.
Sharp angle → skewed
From a steep angle, it stretches into a trapezoid.
Corrected → clean again
We pre-shape the gobo so it lands clean — at your angle.

Do you actually need it?

Straight-on / gentle angle

If you're aiming roughly straight at the surface, you're fine — no correction needed, save your money.

Sharp angle (≈30°–60°)

Permanent installs above a door, awning or high on a wall — this is exactly what keystone fixes.

Beyond ~62°

Extremely steep angles need a different approach for a clean result — talk to us and we'll find the right one.

We only need two accurate measurements. Enter them and we'll estimate your angle instantly — then our team confirms the exact correction before anything is made.

  • Horizontal distance — straight across from the projector to the surface.
  • Projection height — from the projector up/down to the center of the image.

Accurate measurements are everything. We pre-shape your gobo to the angle you give us. If the measurements provided turn out to be wrong, a replacement lens / recalibrated gobo and reshipping may be billed — so please measure carefully (and a photo helps us double-check).
