Rotating Gobo Projectors

Rotating gobo projector — motion, energy, and many looks from one light

A rotating gobo projector spins your design or cycles through several gobos automatically — so one unit brings a room to life with movement and variety. Choose static for a clean fixed logo, or rotating for swirling patterns and multi-message shows. Every projector includes two free full-color gobos.

Static vs. rotating vs. multi-gobo

Three ways to project — pick the motion that fits your space.

🔒 Static (fixed) gobo One design, held perfectly still and sharp. The classic look for a logo on a wall or a monogram on the floor — clean, brand-forward, and the most affordable.
🔄 Rotating (spinning) gobo The gobo itself spins, so patterns swirl, rays sweep, and effects feel alive. Perfect for dance floors, clubs, festivals, and any space that wants energy and motion.
🔀 Multi-gobo (cycling) Several gobos on a wheel — commonly 4, 6, or 8 — that the projector cycles through automatically. One unit shows a logo, then a promo, then a seasonal graphic, hands-free.
💡 One projector, both modes. Our multi-gobo projectors rotate and cycle automatically, or lock onto a single static gobo — you switch with the included remote.

When to choose rotating gobos

Motion pulls the eye — here's where spinning and cycling earn their keep.

🍸 Bars, clubs & DJs Spinning patterns and sweeping effects keep the room feeling alive all night.
🎉 Events & festivals Motion pulls the eye — rotating gobos add energy that a static logo can't.
🏬 Retail & multi-message Cycle through a logo, a special, and a seasonal graphic from a single multi-gobo unit.
💍 Weddings & ceilings A gently rotating star or texture washing a ceiling turns a plain room into an experience.

Rotating gobo projectors — common questions

What is a rotating gobo projector?

A rotating gobo projector is a projector that puts its gobo into motion. That can mean the gobo spins in place — so patterns swirl and effects sweep — or a multi-gobo wheel that automatically cycles through several designs (commonly 4, 6, or 8). Either way you get motion and variety from a single unit, instead of one fixed image.

What's the difference between a static and a rotating gobo?

A static gobo holds one design perfectly still — the clean, brand-forward look you want for a logo on a wall. A rotating gobo moves: it either spins the design for swirling patterns and sweeping effects, or cycles through multiple gobos so one projector shows several messages. Static is simplest and most affordable; rotating adds energy and variety.

Can one projector do both static and rotating?

Yes. Our multi-gobo projectors can rotate and cycle through all their gobos automatically, or lock onto a single static gobo — you choose with the included remote. So the same unit can run a still logo during the day and a spinning, cycling show at night.

How many gobos can a rotating gobo projector hold?

Our multi-gobo models typically hold 4, 6, or 8 gobos on a wheel, depending on the model. The projector can cycle through them automatically or stay on any one — so a single unit does the work of several projectors, showing a logo, a promotion, and a seasonal graphic in sequence.

Are rotating gobos good for a dance floor or club?

Absolutely — that's exactly where they shine. Spinning patterns and sweeping light add motion and energy that a fixed logo can't, which is why bars, clubs, DJs, and events reach for rotating and special-effect gobos. Pair it with the right wattage for your room and it fills the space with movement.

Do rotating gobos cost more than static ones?

A multi-gobo or rotating unit costs a bit more than a single static projector because it does more — it holds several designs and drives them with motion. But it replaces several projectors in one, and every Infinity projector still includes two free full-color gobos. Use the projector finder to compare the right static or rotating unit for your job.
